Hi, Welcome to The Monday Baker

I’m Erica,

Food is my passion; I’ve been in the kitchen since I was a little girl, cooking and baking every single thing I was allowed to get my hands on.

I spent days and nights in the kitchen next to my grandma, observing, learning, and tasting all the things she made; I can still remember every smell, texture, and flavor; She was the best cook ever! Because of her, I am here today.

After taking a few culinary classes to learn and master basic kitchen techniques, I decided to enroll in a small local culinary school in my beautiful Island, Puerto Rico.

It was there where I fell in love, even more with this crazy delicious world of flavor.

Since then, I’ve cooked and managed professional kitchens, catered events, trained amazing teams and, taught many friends and family the art of cooking.

Today, I continue to feed the hungry crowds of friends and family that always find a way into my home on my day off. Bet you can guess the day? Hahaha. Because of them, The Monday Baker was born.

My grandma always said that recipes were meant to be shared, and I couldn’t agree more! Nothing makes me happier than sharing a recipe or teaching someone how to execute a dinner party, holiday dinner, or family gathering.
